Project Highlights:
Design of 3-Story School Building: Worked in a group of three students to design structural steel frame and provide calculations for columns, beams, girders, braced frames and connections. Using AutoCAD, drew typical connection details of beam, girder, and braced frame connections.
Design of Model Bridge: Worked in a group of two students to build and design a plastic bridge. Optimized weight of bridge using Fortran to simulate cost of steel in a real bridge. Used SAP2000 to verify design.
