Brown Services/AEP, Turk Project (2010 to present)
Lead Site Safety Manager
• Received company award for having the lowest incident rate for 2010 in the entire AEP Fleet and for reorganizing communication standards which have allowed all 2,385 employees (non-union and union) to work as one safe team.
• Increased safety training and awareness for ergonomics and human performance in order to refocus the project towards our primary safety goal of Target Zero. This process has lowered our safety incident rate to 0.56 with 8.2 million man-hours worked.
• Maintained relations between federal, state and local officials to include OSHA, EPA, DEQ, FEMA and Corps of Engineers to ensure all regulations were followed to include the state of Arkansas regulatory agencies.
• Restructured safety policies to include tracking positive and negative trends with graphs and charts.
Brown Services/AEP, Stall Project (2008-2010)
Lead Safety and Environmental Manager
• Safety, environmental, ergonomics and human performance trained all contractors and subcontractors working for AEP to include ensuring natural gas safety procedures were followed during and after construction; Regency Gas and Center Point Gas.
