Introduction to Lean Thinking (through Hempstead Works organization)

A group of analysts that delve into the concepts of lean thinking and lean manufacturing techniques, their displays ranged from the wastes in a delivery process, office groupings and programmatic flow to allow for greater productivity and customer satisfaction. Professionals in the field of lean and green thinking lead seminars focusing on these concepts through hands on participation in product creation. The techniques displayed were the most favorable among successful manufacturers in Long Island and found to be the most effective time management tools for employees use at any level. Participants received certification after course requirements were satisfied.

A beneficiary of L.I.F.T (Long Island Forum for Technology)

The outlining of the concepts of Lean manufacturing from the standpoint of

a specific organization. More detail was expounded on in explaining the specific processes

that took place in this area. High focus was placed on employer to employee relationship.

The seminar allowed students to participate in training sessions on Long Island campuses

introducing them to new career options, as well as refining their skillsets.
