Project Manager (CenturyLink - Gardner, KS)

• Project Managed cross functional teams across the country to re-address IP configurations in the Network and Call Center environments. This consisted of coordinating conference calls of up to 50 internal and external customers and scheduling resources to keep project milestones on target.

• Impacted equipment and services ranged from client PC and printers to Cisco switches/router and Multicast audio/video conferencing.

• Project Managed the replacement of Cisco switches and provision out of band access to the switch so that the network engineers have remote access in case of issues with the switches.

TekSystems, Overland Park, Kansas October 2009 – March 2010 - then- August – September 2010

Project Manager (Contractor for Ericsson Network Services) - Project Managed the Sprint Nextel CDMA & iDEN Voicemail systems. Produce daily reports of growth and equipment utilizations.

• Executed and viewed the daily utilization reports from Microsoft Access database, for the iDEN Boost Prepaid voicemail equipment, I have recommended the proper load balancing and in some cases adding new equipment to support the network growth.

• Support the utilizations of the iDEN voicemail, I communicated with the following groups to coordinate the load balancing activities. Switch Operations (LEC, IXC), Implementation, Network Operation (NTAC), Network Installation (NEIS), Number Management teams and Movius (vendor).

• Budgeting and long term forecasting for the scope of cost for the iDEN voicemail project was logged in MS Excel and tracked in the Sprint e-Pro and People Soft databases for executive approvals.

• Project Managed the Next Generation CDMA & iDEN Voicemail, and Visual Voicemail equipment launches. I was instrumental in constructing a time line Project Schedule of the events with input from each of the planning teams.

Sprint Nextel, Overland Park, Kansas 2001 – 2009

Project Manager / National Platforms Capacity & Forecasting - Managed trunk/circuit utilization capacities for National Platforms. Managed the budget for the Voice Command, Voicemail, LBS (Location Based Services) and SCP (Service Control Point) Platforms.

• I have Capacity Managed many large scale equipment platforms by monitoring the utilizations and measuring day to day reporting of trending.

• Budgeting and forecasting many multimillion dollar capital projects. Implementation, Topology Mapping, and long term planning of new technologies.

• Return on Investment plan for saving over $4 Million of Sprint PCS expense dollars by implementing a reduction underutilized T1 circuits. Also, proposed a plan to save $42 Million by deleting the saved voicemail storage from Sprint Broadband AirCards.

• Engineer, budget and manage 7 additional Voice Command Service Nodes in the Sprint PCS Network in a 12-month time frame. A total of 10 VC Nodes are being monitored for utilization performance and capacity balancing.

• Save over $4 Million of Sprint PCS expense dollars by proposing and implementing a reduction plan in underutilized T1 circuits.

• Project Manager for migrating all of the WOW (Wide Open West) Cable Partners from one VMS (Voicemail System) to another VMS for load balancing purposes.

• Interviewed by the technical trade publication, Computerworld for the January 1, 2007 edition. Article title “Bid Payback from Big-Bang Projects”.

Sr. Network Engineer / National Platforms Planning

Support the planning of new equipment and software for Sprint’s National Platform Voice Systems infrastructure. Evaluate and recommend new technology advances for competitive edge and cost savings.

• Manage the rollout and support of the Location Based Services features on the MPC/PDE Platform.

• Supervise and train internal staff to assist with reports, spreadsheets and other related planning tasks for multiple National Platforms.

• Coordinate the plan of the following equipment and technology areas to accomplish the deployment of 7 additional new Voice Command Nodes. Motorola, Nortel & Lucent Switched, SS7 and T1 trunking. Total of 10 VC Nodes when completed.

Supported Sprint LDD’s Enhanced and Customer Connections Services (ECCS) Systems Engineering Department. Provide project management and technical support for customers with provisioning and scheduling of complex system hardware/software installations. Manage the forecasting and budgeting of Systems Engineering projects.

• Trained in the following Sprint processes:

• Senior Systems Engineer for the AAM (Automated Agent Monitoring) Project.
