Duties
• Read and understand all specifications of job order.
• Obtain all equipment, substrate(s), and ink(s) per specification. Mix inks if needed.
• Load substrate and install die(s) in press. Line up substrate to die and test cutting ability to be sure die is in proper condition.
• Pour inks into fountain/pan and place mounted cylinder plates in press.
• Set each impression, rough register, and align to die.
• Check for color and match as necessary.
• Check for required specification of quality such as ink adhesion, liner test, scratch resistance, and appearance.
• Obtain quality control/supervisor approval.
• Maintain color, register of plate(s), and die(s) throughout run with continuous checks (retains) by operator and quality control/supervisor.
• Document all required specifications.
