An observation cohort study which tracks 3,000 injection drug users or those engaged in at-risk behaviors who are primarily low income or unemployed African Americans.
Management included monitoring for HIV/CD4 counts and HCV, as well as establishing patients with primary care providers. Routine physicals and pelvic exams, medication reconciliation, and psychosocial counseling performed.
