Project 1:”Structural Analysis for Optimization of Machine Tool Bed”

Description: In this Project structural analysis of the CNC machine tool main bed for weight optimization is carried out using FEA Package Ansys10. A number of concept are considered for various design parameters to optimize the structure with the objective of reducing the weight while maintaining higher stiffness compared to the existing main bed. Modal analysis was carried out to determine the natural frequency to verify stiffness of the bed.

Project 2:”Weakness Point Analysis of Vertical Machining Centre (VMC)”

Description: The Objective of a project is to find the Weakness point of a Machine by considering milling operation. Machine consist of five module namely Base, Column, Cross slide, Table, Spindle Head. The weakness of each component Decided based on the stiffness of the component. Spindle head got less stiffer and weak module in the Machine for milling operation.

Project 3:”Design of lathe Packing Wooden Box”

Description: The objective of project is to design a wooden box which is used for packing a lathe while transporting. Project involves study of Lathe boundary specifications and static analysis using Ansys software and theoretical comparison with the software values.

Tools Used for above projects: Ansys10, Hypermesh9.

B.E Project

Title: Energy Management: A Case study on G M I T College.

Duration: 6 months

Project Description: The objective of a project is to reduce the waste energy consumption (Power) in college and suggesting to utilizing power in appropriate way. The project involves auditing and testing of all kind of light source like bulbs, tube lights etc. by using experimental circuit setup.

Industrial Training:

 Four Month “In-Plant Training” at Prosim on CatiaV5R16, Abaqus.

 Three Months Training in GTRE Bangalore: Training is based on assembling a Seal testing RIG. The RIG is used to test different slots of seals which are used in aero engines. Training also includes study of Different Seals, components of test RIG using AutoCAD Drawings.

Skill Set:

 Proficient in Static Structural Analysis, linear, non-linear, Transient Modal Analysis with ANSYS.

 Proficient in Hypermesh-2Dsurface, Midsurface, 3Dmodels.

 Proficient in Part Modeling and Assembling, Drafting with CatiaV5R16.

 Proficient in modeling using Auto-CAD.
