Lead Software Quality Assurance Engineer – Supplier of Mobile Cardiac Outpatient Telemetry & real time analysis of ECG transmissions.
Responsibilities: Design and implement test processes for the Quality Assurance team as well as software engineering team. Initiated new Software Development Lifecycle methodology within two different software engineering groups. Mentoring new SQA Engineers and provide support for all team members. Create validation and verification test case documentation for embedded software on Mobile Cardiac Outpatient Telemetry devices as well as analytical client/server software. Created test documentation which must meet FDA and ISO regulations and standards. Create documentation for SQA knowledge transfer in order to facilitate better training methods. Software tests implemented include: data gathering, data transfer from device to device and utilizing a communications server for the data to communicate between the analytical client/server application that displayed the ECG data and the mobile device. Types of testing include: hardware to firmware to software functional tests, general software functional tests, usability, communication protocol testing, data validation, performance, smoke, unit and build tests. Conduct research into appropriate automation test software which could be applicable to certain aspects of the client/server application software and some of the embedded software testing. Provide leadership amongst the SQA group in better estimation of project deadlines. Initiated and ran weekly status staff meetings to ensure project completion. Initiated and ran a Creative & Conceptual Thinking meeting every week to help the software test team generate more complete test coverage cases.
