I moved to Iowa to go to college. Sears hired me to be a Customer Service Representative.

This job was very fun and easy, I really enjoyed working at Sears. I took payments (cash/credit);

took merchandise returns and complaints; there was some computer work there as well. This job was

part-time.

While going to school, I worked at APAC. I started working there as telemarketer for At&t long

distance sales/inbound calling. After working full-time for approximately 3 months I was promoted to

Team Supervisor. I had supervision/management of teams between 10 to 20 telemarketers. Inspiring

my team to increase sales and performance turned out to be very rewarding. It was great when I

saw my team encouraging each other to stay motivated. Some of the things I would do board games,

they could win money, or other objects, sometimes when one of my telemarketers would get a sale, I

would put them in charge, sit at their phone until I made another sale for them.

I was responsible for monitoring calls and training for higher performance. It was a great job.

The team named themselves "Pamela's Posse". The company offered 'free pizza' for top team of the

month and my team was running neck and neck with another team regularly; it was great. I worked

at this job for 2 years.

1998 - Natural Way Weight Loss Center

This job was looking for a weight loss counselor. I had no experience in this field; all I needed

was good customer service skills. I learned to counsel people in maintaining their weight/weight loss

from an expected diet menu. After a few months I was promoted to a sales position and needed to sell

the program to new clients. This was a part-time job.

This job was very rewarding. I worked with two special needs boys under 5 years old. Both boys were

autistic. I was trained to teach both boys. I was in joint supervision of the youngest boys education.

This was a part-time job. I was contacted again by both sets of parents a few years later asking me to

come back and work for them and I did for about 9 months but not through the school.

This company hired me to collect payments that were past due. I started as part-time and thru a

job service. It wasn't long until my boss told me he was impressed with me and wanted to offer

me a position. I then learned how to make small loan personal/auto/mortgage. I loved the business.

I then became in charge of motivating my co-workers to sell insurance on their loans and we did good.

This was a full-time position.

2001 - Neighborhood Housing Services

A non for profit program to help the low to medium income become homeowners. Another rewarding job.

I helped my clients clean up their credit. I worked with a team that taught our clients the reality

of becoming homeowners. I drew up the loans at about 8-10 per month. I went to closings with my clients.

we solicited people to give them the best interest rate every day. This office was only equipped

for one loan office, supervisor and my processor. Full time.
