OVERVIEW

As product manager I’ve developed and managed a process, which allows each department to successfully meet their individual creative goals. Seasonally, I also manage the creative strategy that is designed to reach the target customer while increasing profitability and growth. I work day to day with merchandising, design, development, and management to buffer everyone to reach their end goals. Travel has been required for trend forecasting, design inspiration, and sales related meetings.

-Creation of seasonal merchandising strategy to meet profit goals as well as exceed trend forecasts

-Act as a liaison between all departments to ensure timely delivery of samples, catalogs and bulk

Apparel Merchandising Manager

2004-2007

OVERVIEW

In my time with Adio Apparel I was able to manage a team of talented designers and development staff from concept to completion. My goals were accomplished by delivering an apparel line that remained cohesive with our footwear and appealed to the needs of an extensive range of buyers from core shops to large retailers. I created a new structure and staff while integrating a process of guidelines and procedures that built a foundation for a once struggling category. Each quarter I exceeded target margins and worked closely with our vendors to leverage the best possible delivery and quality product. Each quarter I collected data and feedback from key accounts, sales teams, and the marketing group in order ensure their needs were met for future seasons as well as execution of special make-ups.

-Trend research by region and territory while tracking data from sales performance and history to create a cohesive line seasonally

Apparel Design and Development

2002-2004

OVERVIEW

Upon entering Thor as a protective gear developer, I was chosen to support their driving mx category with a new soft goods program. Working with Brand Management, I forecasted and created a causal line that was aimed towards an active lifestyle. My day-to-day responsibilities consisted of technical execution and submission of seasonal styles for the women’s apparel line. Sourcing and maintaining relationships with vendors was a main objective. I maintained the development process from the proto approval, fittings, and grading of measurements. I oversaw the product throughout the photo shoot stage and tradeshow season.

Tova Celine

Assistant Design/Sourcing

1998-2002

OVERVIEW

As an Assistant Designer for Tova Celine I worked closely with the head designer, patternmaker and sample sewers. The team relied on me to source their visions of trims and fabrics. I worked directly with contractors to make sure design concepts were brought to life. Once the sample line was constructed, I delivered to the showroom and briefed the sales reps on the details and direction of the line.
