Field Superintendent: Responsibilities included direct supervision of field operations, execution and management. Specific responsibilities included; direct-labor management, over see layout, site logistics & organization, order and procurement of construction materials & delivery coordination, quality control and ensure compliance between construction documents and field work, coordinated sub-contractors and oversaw sub-contractor operations and work. Work was almost all self-performed with our own work force, Project where primarily foundation, reinforced concrete, heavy highway, and geotechnical type projects. Scope of work included; Bridge construction & rehabilitation, foundations, reinforced concrete structures, earth retention systems, underpinning, excavation, drilled and driven piles, large diameter bored piles, ground improvements, soil stabilization, structural retrofits, diaphragm walls, high pressure grouting, road work, drainage systems, and site-work. I utilized strong quality control principles, safety, and house keeping habits to ensure clean safe work environment creating optimum site conditions and efficacy. Organized field documentation, managed relationships with all interested parties and acted as liaison in field between owners, project managers, inspectors and engineers
• Pre-construction I reviewed contract documents to develop execution plans, and plan on means & methods of construction, as well as evaluate available equipment & needs for project, implemented and monitored strict safety protocols, created work safe plans and safety presentations for all staff.
• Developed solutions for difficult site conditions and projects by keeping pace with new technologies, equipment, and means& methods, or when conventional solutions where not feasible or impractical.
• Effectively carried out and enforced all field operations policies and procedures to ensure quality construction, increase production and maintain an organized, efficient, field operations system.
