Objective:

I want to pursue a career in Computer Technology and Network Administration. I want to apply my passion and knowledge that I have gained from my Cisco courses to a job that has the objectives and guidelines that I am equipped to handle. I enjoy working in a IT atmosphere and want to continue to expand my knowledge on how it operates. I have completed the CCNA courses at HCT and I have the ability on how to program routers and switches for LAN management purposes as well as abilities to secure and configure WAN's. I have the knowledge and experience on working with all Windows Operating systems such as Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008. I am educated and trained with Unix based operating systems such as SUSE Linux Enterprise. I know programming with Perl, C#, Unix, MS-DOS, Oracle and SQL as I have completed classes on each of these different languages.

Work Experience:

Studio Engineer/Office Assistant 9/2006 - Present

Cherry Creek Radio - Helena, MT

For six years I have worked within the studio operating on air audio boards. I provided network and troubleshooting support and am responsible for running commercial breaks for sporting events and/or live commercial on site remotes. Time management is a crucial requirement for my job. I am constantly challenged by timing commercial breaks with other on air programs so they match the correct play times that they are assigned to. Other challenges that I have experienced on this job include connecting audio links from one board to another if another radio station needs a feed, for example, a Carroll College football game. Problem solving and trouble shooting is part of this position as the equipment used is not always working properly. Answering phone lines & customer service was a large part of my job as well.

I also fill in as an office assistant responsible for filling and faxing papers. This position is always tasked by the needs of the entire office & all employees. It requires good communication, multitasking such as answering the phones, help with faxing, I also file important papers between tasks.

Computer Support Specialist/Internship 4/4/2012 – 8/17/2012

Department of Labor & Industry – Helena, MT

At the Department of Labor and Industry I help support their computer network. My duties were to assist users with computer related issues, I also was in charge of setting up, sharing, networking, and troubleshooting network devices such as card printers, label printers, Xerox printers (Phasor 8560/8860, WorkCentre Fiery); troubleshooting system errors on Windows machines. Other duties were to create/delete/change users in the Active Directory and managing GPO(Group Policy Objects) that control user rights were also a large part of my tasks. I also answered phone lines at the Help Desk assisting internal customers with resolving problems associated with workstation hardware and software issues

Computer Support Specialist 8/20/2012 – 9/28/2012

Legislative Branch – Helena, MT

At the Legislative Branch located in the capital. I provide network support and computer troubleshooting. I was responsible for deploying new workstation for the state staff. Migrating user data through SCCM a service part of Microsoft Server 2008 R2 from the staffs older workstations to the new workstations. Help desk support was also a large part of my duties.
