• As part of a development team, participated in the maintenance and enhancement of the Trading Support System for OTC/NASDAQ execution processing.

• Met with traders to gather detailed specifications that allowed them better access to needed information in response to faster moving markets.

• Generated detailed design documents and project plans.

• Proficiency in all projects with full project life cycle from initial user interface through production implementation.

• Designed programs written in COBOL II, CICS 5.3.

• Coordinated GTB, and Intertest. Access methods included VSAM, QSAM and DB2

• Participated in a Year 2000 Program Management project responsible for the migration of Merrill Lynch systems from Panvalet to Endevor. After migration of these systems, the Peritus Autoenhancer/2000 tool was used to convert the systems to be Year 2000 compliant.

• Responsibilities included the identification of all elements of a subsystem currently in production in Panvalet, getting confirmation from the application users to migrate these elements, converting them to run in the Endevor environment and then performing unit testing. These subsystems were then renovated using Peritus running on a Unix platform. Source code changes were done manually on all elements that were not fully renovated by the tools and unit testing performed prior to turning the system over to the users.

• Team leader of the AFTECH system with four team members.

• Estimated, tested and implemented test plans for the AFTECH Year 2000 compliance.

MB Data June 1996 - December 1996

• Participated in a project, which converted mainframe programs to ORACLE.

• Responsibilities included the conversion, testing and user sign off of DOS/VSE COBOL and FOCUS programs to Oracle.

NYNEX August 1994 - June 1996

• Contributed in a project which Computerized Nynex’s Ordering Department and insured all vendors were in the database.

• Tasks included defining suppliers on the database, instructing the vendors in use of the EDI Purchase Order System and insuring compliance. The result of this project was a paperless NYNEX purchase order system with a significantly larger supplier database. The project was implemented in COBOL II, DB2 and SQL operating under OS/MVS.

Jordache Enterprises July 1991 - August 1994

• Commencing in the analysis, development and implementation of an order processing system. The system included Order Entry, EDI, Data Mapping, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Warehousing UPC and UCC. Participated in all aspects of the design and implementation of this project. The project was implemented in COBOL, CICS, using TSO and EZTrieve operating under OS/MVS.

• Also responsible for implementing EDI programs used in the retrieval and transmission of products to major department stores. The project was implemented in COBOL, CICS, using TSO and EZTrieve operating under OS/MVS.

• Implemented FTP to migrate the files to the Mainframe and process accordingly.

• Construction and implementation of new programs and enhancement of existing programs for various on-line and batch applications. These applications were written in COBOL and CICS using TSO and EZTrieve operating under OS/MVS.

Marlene Industries June 1987 - April 1991

• Instructor and Analyzing in the full life cycle development of various applications pertaining to dress manufacturing.

• Responsibilities included developing and implementing EDI programs used for transmittal to major department stores.

• Written and coordinated all COBOL batch and CICS programs related to EDI processing.

• Used FTP to migrate the files to the Mainframe.

• Also responsible for the ACS package, interfacing with users, and the evaluation of all EDI program requirements and requests.

• Implementation included COBOL or CICS in a DOS/VSE environment.

Bank of America June 1983 - June 1987

• Contributed in a project to convert from IBM System 3 to a 4341.

• Responsibilities included rewriting RPG II programs in COBOL, analyzing system requirements, writing system and program specifications and operational procedures.

• Additional responsibilities included research, design and implementation of new and existing applications, and documenting various systems including DDA, DFD, Global Trading and F/X.

• Also responsible for the evaluation of all EDP requests and clarification with the user community.

Skandia Insurance March 1980 - June 1983

• Accountable for the conversion of IBM System 3 applications to 4341.

• Implemented programs for various applications including Premiums, Claims, Property and Causality. These programs were implemented in RPG II running under DOS.

KEAMED December 1977 – March 1980

PROJECT MANAGER AT BROOKLYN JEWISH HOSPTIAL

• Converted financial reporting and receivables systems to a Burroughs 1800 computer. This involved inpatient census and billing, accounts payable, general ledger and inventory.

• Assisted the hospital staff in the submission of input and use of reports.

• Written and analyzed all programs in RPG II.
