Responsibilities:
• Involved in upgrading Datastage jobs from 7.5.2 to Datastage 8.1
• Primarily responsible for designing, developing ETL utilizing Datastage jobs and PL/SQL to process Life Insurance data extracted from Oracle, and Spread sheets
• Designed prototypes utilizing Parallel jobs to demonstrate performance advantage over Server jobs, and outlined plan to convert existing inefficient Server jobs to Parallel jobs when migrating to Datastage 8.1
• Proposed solutions to optimize performance of existing Server jobs such that processing large volume of data can be accomplished in timely manner. Optimizations included utilizing Inter-Process Stage, Link Partitioner and Link Collector stages, Hashed file tweaking, and Oracle query tuning
