Description:

Global Underwriting Solution (GUS) provides Underwriters an interface to manage the process of Underwriting from Loan Origination to submitting to Global Fulfillment Solution. Currently the system handles Business Credit Commercial Credit and Global Wealth Management. Several other business units are being on boarded including Small Business Account.

Responsibility:

Design and develop services to onboard Small Business Account to GUS. Implemented new features used by underwriters to process Small Business Accounts. Look into new patterns and technologies to move the application from Windows forms based system to WPF. Implementing the Domain model for the system.

Project: Cypher/GXL Wachovia Securities

Description:

Cypher project was developed to provide trade and market data information primarily for Interest Rate desk. With interfaces to Quant libraries GXL(Excel Add in) provided necessary information for the traders to price the trades without going to Calypso directly. All the data is stored in powerful in memory distributed cache (Tangosol Coherence). Proprietary EQD Framework and EQD types were used to represent data which made data conversion from C# to Java seamless. With advanced Cache implementations like Near Cache data was made available to multiple traders from their desktop.

Responsibility:

Design and develop services offered by Cypher. Implemented event handling using Tibco EMS Topics and Bridged Queues. Worked on components that facilitated the transformation of objects so that they could be later used to call C++ quant libraries directly.

Project: Calypso Gateway Wachovia Securities

Description:

Calypso Gateway provides Calypso services to Clients who do not have access to Calypso. Services provided include Trade related services like getting trades pricing trades etc and MarketData related services like getting curve data etc. Currently there are three instances of Calypso Gateway running in production. One for SCP Rates and CDBO. Calypso Gateway also provides Curve Import service which was designed to synchronize credit curve data and LIBOR curve data in Wachovia production environment for scp and "prod servers. Curve Import service is a plug-in module of Calypso Gateway.

Responsibility:

Design and Develop services provided by Calypso Gateway. Implemented component that ensures the requests are queued by gateway and are possessed as reources (Worked threads) become available. Added additional functionality to the server which was written in Java. Developed Client Components in C# and Java. Our own messaging libraries were developed on top of Tibco EMS messaging layer . Developed and maintained a website using ASP.NET 2.0 and SQL Server 2000 which gave information like the server status and process some requests. Is involved in release planning and management issue tracking and handling Client interaction.

Project: SPARKS Wachovia Securities

Environment:

Description:

SPARKS stands for Structured Products and Risks. Primarily a Front-office application handling TRS trades CLO trades SPARKS is also used by Middle-Office users

for reporting and CLO warehouse management. SPARKS primarily deals in Loan Assets but caters to Bonds and Structured Bonds (Structured Finance) as well.

SPARKS currently caters to Wachovia and ATLAS (a Wachovia SPV) reports and trades.

Responsibility:

Was involved in adding new features to the system. Developed features for a WinForms application using C# and created some reports using Crystal Reports and Excel. Also worked on Stored Procedures and did some Data modeling. Supported the TRS and CLO desks.

Project: CETR Multi state Tax Commission

Environment:

Description:

The main purpose of a Combined Electronic Tax Registration Project (CETR) is to implement an online tax registration system that will enable the multistate taxpayers to register to report and remit tax simultaneously in a number of jurisdictions on a one-stop shopping basis . XML was used to exchange data between states and the CETR system. BizTalk Server was used to transfer the data collected from the taxpayer to different states.

Responsibility:

Was mainly involved in the design and development of the system. Created Web forms and wrapper classes to collect data from Taxpayer and store the data as XML using ASP.NET and C#. Worked on Windows service to batch the transactions and send it to BizTalk. Used XML Web Service to generate update acknowledgements.

Project: ePride The Charmer Sunbelt Group

Environment:

Visual Studio .NET (.NET Framework ASP .NET C#(C-Sharp) ADO .NET) XML/XSLT XMLDOM XPath SQL Server 2000.

Description:

The Charmer Sunbelt Group is one of the nation's leading distributors of fine wines spirits beers bottled water and other non-alcoholic products. ePride is a Web Application used by the employees of CS group Browse Products Magazine Reviews Catalog and Vintage sheets. Apply filter criteria to these sections. PDF documents are generated for the selected items. Web Service component is also added.

Responsibility:

Primary Developer for the System. Heavily worked on the disconnected data using Dataset Object XML DOM and XSLT. Used XML Web Service to generate and save Houses Data. XML files were generated based on selection criteria and third party product ASPOSE was used to generate PDF documents.

Project: POST Digex

Environment:

Visual Studio .NET (.NET Framework ASP .NET C#(C-Sharp) ADO .NET) XML/XSLT XMLDOM XPath SQL Server 2000 Seibel Oracle.

Description:

Digex a fully owned subsidiary of MCI offers clients with enterprise internet hosting services. Post tool is an order entry system used by Sales Engineers of Digex. Post helps the Sales Engineers to configure different servers based on the customer s requests and quote will be generated. Different servers hardware components software components are obtained from Seibel database as XML files and using XSLT they are presented to make the appropriate selections at runtime.

Responsibility:

Designed and developed the user interfaces using HTML Server controls and ASP.NET Web Controls. Created different Classes using C# in the Code Behind and Compiled Code Behind files by separating actual code from the User Interface files. Connection to SQL Server 2000 Database was established from ASP.NET web pages using ADO.NET objects. Heavily worked on the disconnected data using Dataset Object XML DOM and XSLT. Forms Authentication security model was used to provide security to Web application.

Project: Weather Bug Data Manager AWS

Environment:

Visual Studio .NET (C++).

Description:

Weather Bug provides access to live weather information. At anytime 6 million Weather Bug clients will be accessing weather data. Data Manager is the server program that processes the clients request. Data Manager also will be receiving data from 20000 stations. The stations will dump UDP packets at least every 2-3 seconds. The project storing capturing N-min data to be used in performing various statistical calculations. The calculations are performed every N min and stored in a folder as a text file.

Responsibility:

Assisted in design. Mainly responsible for the implementation of the project.

Project: Sales Module

Environment:

Visual Studio .NET (.NET Framework ASP .NET C#(C-Sharp) ADO .NET) SQL Server 2000.

Description:

This project provides sales people of 1stAmericard with tools to assist them when they go out on sales calls. The project allows sales people view their contacts information track their scheduled calls their commission details on client to client basis. It also allows regional and national sales managers to check the performance of their sales people. The project also involves generating surveys by the sales managers which the sales people distribute to the merchants on their sales calls. Web interfaces are provided for the managers to create the survey questions and choices.

Responsibility:

Designed and developed the user interfaces using HTML Server controls and ASP.NET Web Controls. Created different Classes using C# in the Code Behind and Compiled Code Behind files by separating actual code from the User Interface files.

Connection to SQL Server 2000 Database was established from ASP.NET web pages using ADO.NET objects. Implemented a Windows Service that checks everyday at midnight and sends e-mails automatically to Sales Managers. Tuned database transactions by implementing Stored Procedures Indexes Triggers in T-SQL Server 2000 Database. Forms Authentication security model was used to provide security to Web application. Implemented Role Based Security Model for Sales People Sales Managers. Developed 3D charting effects using Chart FX for .NET tool for representing sales information in the form of charts.

Project: 1st Advance

Environment:

Description:

1st Advance gives Cash advance for future credit card sales with easy approval process and automated pay back. It will buy a percentage of merchant s future Credit Card sales and provides the merchant with cash right away once his application is approved. The cash advanced and the percentage depends on the Credit Rating of the Merchant Average sales done by the merchant etc. Applications are written to determine the cash advance amount. Spread sheets style custom reports were provided to determine the rate of return and time frame for additional qualifying rounds and money.

Responsibility:

Creation of GUI and WEB interfaces using ASP.NET. Monarch Data mining tool was used to extract data from the flat files. Application variables sessions and cookies are implemented. Developed stored procedures triggers SQL queries and views on SQL Server 2000 database.

Project: 1st Americard Online

Environment:

Macromedia Dream Weaver Ultradev ASP (VBScript) IIS HTML Monarch SQL Server 2000.

Description:

1stAmericard Online provides reporting tools to merchants with a dedicated web site that allows merchants to access their merchant account information online 24 hours a day 7 days a week. It allows merchants to retrieve their deposit information and view detailed reports of their chargeback and retrieval histories. The project involved developing custom web based reports for the employees and customers of 1stAmericard. 1stAmericard Online offers over 40 reports for the use of employees and over 15 reports for the merchants. Additional reports were generated for the use of Sales Representatives Banks. The process of getting data into 1stAmericard database has been automated. Other supporting applications like Call Center Setting Merchants Online were implemented.

Responsibility:

Primarily responsible for developing the web application including Requirements Specification Design Database design creating reports. Designed SQL Server database for storing data. Application variables sessions and cookies are implemented. Made use of JavaScript for client side validations. Developed stored procedures triggers SQL queries and views on SQL Server 2000 database.

In addition to the above projects I have worked on several academic-projects while pursuing Masters at UNC-Charlotte. Most of these projects were using C++ Java JSP Servlets XML and Oracle.
