With complete protection from the desktop to the data center, NetBackup offers a single console for management of all backup and recovery operations. The computer that needs the backup or restore is the client; the computer that manages the backup and retrieval of the data is the server. When you start a restore operation, the client software on your computer requests the data from the NetBackup server, and the server sends the data to the client and can be restored.
