• Examines job orders to determine details such as quantities to be printed, stock requirements, color sequences.

• Loads, positions, and adjusts unprinted materials on butt splicer turret.

• Selects and installs printing plates, rollers, screens, dies in machines according to Job

• Pours, or sets up pumps for ink, and other materials into reservoirs of printing units, making measurement and adjustments to viscosity and or color as needed.

• Repositions printing plates adjust pressure rollers or otherwise adjust equipment to improve quality.

• Tests ink and varnishes according to types of materials being printed and customer specifications.

• Operates equipment at required speed to ensure proper ink coverage, alignment and registration.

• Inspects and examines printed products for print clarity, color consistency, conforms to specification using specific test methods and equipment.

• Removes finished product from finishing turret, stacker table or press rewind spindle.

• Maintains, or adjusts equipment using proper preventive maintenance techniques

Skills

• Experience running UV and waterbase inks and varnishes on 2 to 15 color Webtron, Markandy, Comco, and Arsoma presses either producing pressure sensitive labels, plow folded coupons or sheeted promotional cards.
