Title: Energy Efficient Opportunistic Routing in Wireless Sensor Networks
Description:
In wireless networks, various factors, like fading, interference, and multi-path effects, can lead to temporary heavy packet losses in a pre-selected good path. We are using opportunistic routing to improve network throughput. The nodes in forwarder list check the priority and then select the forwarded based on priority. To reduce the packet loss the node will select the higher priority forwarded. Lower priority forwarder will discard the packet so we are using higher priority forwarder. One challenging problem is to select and prioritize forwarder list such that a certain network performance is optimized. In this project, we focus on selecting and prioritizing forwarder list to minimize energy consumptions by all nodes and we improved the speed transmission. Finally we calculate the cost of the nodes which we are used for transmitting and displaying the cost of nodes in bar chart.
