EDUCATION
Senior Design project within the Bioengineering industry. Proposal included development of a manufacturing procedure for a transparent, elastomeric Left Ventricle bag to be used within the Cardiac Simulator in the Bioengineering Lab. Completed project included overall process design for manufacture as well as materials and molding techniques needed for processing and manufacture; these techniques included the design of a closed volume geometry bag manufactured using dip molding. Responsible for cost estimation of the project as well as adhering to strict deadlines, created a viable and repeatable means of manufacture.
Product Design project: Design of a new sport recreation tricycle; basic design functions, commercial alternative considerations, existing design improvements, material considerations and selection, performance analysis, manufacturing techniques, cost estimation, feasibility assessment.
Mechanics Design Project: Design of four-bar linkage system. Mechanics of machines, concept of gears and disc cam mechanisms, feasibility, market readiness, cost estimation.
College coursework includes solid modeling methodologies using ProE and Solid Works, FEA analysis, Biomechanics, Engineering materials, Machine lab experience, machining metals and materials testing, Calculus I,II,III, Economics.
