Job duties:
Laboratory testing of soils, asphalt, rebar, and concrete. Mix designs of asphalt and site specific soils.
Special inspections included nuclear gauge testing, onsite samplings and density testing, grout and rebar for retaining walls and foundations, as well as concrete placement. Structural special inspections included multistory post tension inspection as well as rebar inspections prior to concrete placement on the decks.
Field testing, sampling and classification of rock and soils.
Other duties included contractor coordination of testing and observation. Inspections included residential observation and testing sewer and water. Observations included placement of underground utilities as well as surface improvements.
Requirements:
On call 24 hours for lab work as well as site observations. Traveling throughout the United States and having security clearances through the FAA for Phoenix International Airport for runway and building inspections.
