Project Description – EDI Case Installation (Enrollment Systems - Specialized in WVB products) & Member Eligibility Outbound

Member Eligibility:

This project was mainly involved in pulling enrollment and/or membership information from Humana’s Operational Data Store (“ODS”) and forwarding that information on to customers, consultants and other third party entities. An example might be a particular behavioural health company (ex: EYEMED) that one of our large customers has chosen to provide that portion of their benefits.

EDI Case Installation:

This project is responsible for the technical side of the account installation process. That is, many of Humana’s large customers submit enrollment on a routine basis to Humana in a standard electronic file format. This process is referred to as receiving an EDI enrollment file from the customer. These files are run through a series of remappers whose job is to take the file received from the customer and translate the file into a common format that can be sent through Humana’s Automated Enrollment (“AE”) system for processing. Our team is responsible for the development and maintenance of the remappers as well as providing technical support to the operations team that has primary responsibility for EDI account installation.

I was specialized in enrolling members for WVB products such as Accident, Cancer and Health Care Plus etc.

Role: Sr. Programmer Analyst

Responsibilities:

Developed Core Modules, multiple other codes, maintained core modules for Automated Mappers in COBOL, EZtrieve JCL and DB2 database using SQL, VSAM and Flat files in MVS environment, as an analyst programmer in a team of at 8 at onsite, Louisville, KY and 16 at offshore, Pune, INDIA. This involved

MRA – Material Return Authorization – I and II

Project Description:

Material Return Authorization project involved creating an automated process for Chrysler LLC in order to make them able to get all material return requests online instead of paper requests.

Whenever Chrysler’s dealer’s wanted to return any parts to company because of any reason among RA, BR, SR, TR etc they used to submit paper requests along with types, numbers and much other information of returning parts which used to take considerable amount of time. In this project we created Stored Procedures in Mainframes and online screens in Java through which Dealer’s could submit online requests for any returns.

I did worked in a team of 8, at offshore, Pune, INDIA as a programmer/tester with below responsibilities.
