I am searching for full-time employment as a draftsperson; a summary of my drafting education and 28 years of work experience follows:
After 4 years of drafting coursework in high school, I studied drafting at American River College in Sacramento, CA and at Sierra College in Rocklin, CA.
I was first employed as a draftsman in 1982. Since then, my professional experience has included:
Computer assisted Drafting (CAD)-AutoCAD (ACAD) 2005 and 2007, DWG files, Layers, Line Types, Dimension style manager,, Line Type Scale, Polyline, Blocks, Plot Manager, CTB’s,
ComputerVision x.5, used in the Government work for seven years.
Software Improvements- Developed custom toolbars for added productivity and convenience. Created new buttons with modified code and macros. With color changes to enhance productivity.
Manual Map Drawing – for Southern Pacific Railroad. I drew maps for the leases and property easements, ink on sepia. Also, I have used ARC-GIS software.
Photography (including the use of)- Single-Lens Reflex (SLR) Cameras, Digital Cameras, macro-imaging, extension-tubes, light meters, timed exposures and zoom, telephoto and teledioptic lenses.
In addition to military work experience, I was employed by the United States Department of Land Management at the (Bureau of Reclamation) and several civilian architectural firms.
I am going to school at ITT Technical Institute, working towards my degree.

1978-1985 LEAD PASSENGER – JOURNEYMAN FREIGHT CARMAN - CERTIFIED WELDER
Southern Pacific Transportation Company, 9499 Atkinson Street R.A.M.A.C.
Duties: 40 hours per week. I served as the Liaison Man to setup plates on 98 foot flatcars for five different classes of cars for a total of 1000 cars with no production losses or on-the-job accidents.
Duties also included: Drafting for the Metal Shop - preformed Reverse Engineering to create parts for Frames of Freight Cars.
1984-1985 Drafting notes in a book for The Private CAR –106 “Oregon” which is a Pullman Standard heavy weight Car. I was assigned to this CAR to tear down both “Trucks” that were under heavy spring tension and draw and sketch all integral parts, give all dimensions, note any repairs, and weld warn metal as necessary. With no injuries and no lost time. I was safety conscious at all times.
