SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS
A dynamic, result-oriented, and effective leader who works effectively within cross functional teams. Currently working towards completing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (May 2012) that generally prepares individuals to design and analyze mechanical systems by applying engineering principles. Proven ability to leverage engineering skill-set as a creative thinker by applying math, science, and engineering knowledge to identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems – integrating previous experience with technical expertise in development, design, analysis, and testing within a well-organized and established aerospace company.
EDUCATION
Alabama A&M University (Overall GPA: 3.1, Major GPA: 3.6) Huntsville, AL
B.S. Mechanical Engineering May 2013
ENGINEERING PROJECTS
NASA USLI August 2011 – May 2012
• Responsibilities include: system design, build, and launch of a reusable rocket to an altitude of 1-mile.
NASA Academy Research Projects, MSFC Summer 2011
“Stitch repair for SR-FSW closeouts” and “Launch abort system attitude control motor valve”
• Fabricated attitude control gasket test rig, according to customer schematic, installed in an existing liquid hydrogen test area, successfully tested gasket, and found restrictions of the gaskets capabilities.
• Mechanically tested/analyzed every offset available inside a macro to observe and compare for the best stitch plug to be selected for continuation. Convinced NASA officials to perform further statistical analysis.
Model Airplane Project Alabama A&M University Spring 2009
• Designed detailed model using Autodesk Inventor. Assembled model using preliminary design; after testing procedures, modified wing structure, and increased nose weight to improve flight distance.
• Recognized for taking a leadership role on the project and the distance of flight, which exceeded gliders in all of the classes, reaching 150 ft. in distance. Glider was placed on display in the Engineering building.
