Project: DTMF controlled robot.
Team Size: Four
Description: The project involves the creation of a DTMF (Dual-Tone-Multi-Frequency) controlled robot consisting of motor drivers, DTMF decoder, ATMEGA16 microcontroller and 2 cell phones. On the robot, there is attached a cell phone. Whenever one makes a call to that cell phone, the call gets automatically received by the “auto receive” function. Next, whenever any button is pressed on the calling phone, it is sent as a DTMF to the receiving phone attached on the robot. That DTMF signal is then decoded by DTMF decoder attached on the robot which then converts it into its’ binary equivalent and passes it on to the Microcontroller attached on the robot. The microcontroller then passes the corresponding message to motor driver which controls the movement of the robot via the motors.
