Professional experience March 2007 to February 2008 – Penta Career Center, Perrysburg, Ohio
Substitute Teacher and Secretary
I was a substitute teacher in the business and academic area. I also filled in as a substitute secretary for various departments. I worked directly with the Director of Penta as his secretary for several months. I worked as the switchboard operator at the main desk and assisted in helping with student files and schedules. I had various jobs and tasks while at Penta and worked directly with parents and students on a daily basis.

Legal Secretary
• I was a secretary for a two attorney law firm. I worked mainly for one attorney, but often times did work for both attorneys. My duties included answering the phone, communicating with clients regarding questions and updates with their case file, preparing and filing legal documents for the various Courts, opening and closing estates, keeping calendars, scheduling appointments and important Court dates for both attorneys, keeping files updated and in order, keeping track of deadlines for Court pleadings that needing filing on certain dates, transcription, preparation of various office documents to be sent to clients, correspondence with other attorneys and Judges, entering bill slips and preparing bills for clients and various other office tasks. Many of these activities were done on my own with slight instruction from either attorney. Computer programs included were: Windows XP, Windows 98, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Quicken, Perfect Probate, Microsoft Office, internet research, e-mails with attachments and Child Support Program.
November 1998 to May 1999 – Plummer Trucking, Latty, Ohio
Administrative Assistant
• I was the Administrative Assistant to the Company President and also Administrative Assistant to the Company CPO. My duties included numerous clerical duties, preparation of various documents, organizing company files, attending management meetings for input and note taking, dealing with new employees and preparing paperwork for them to complete, inputting various information in the computer, dealing with the customer and employee’s various needs, organizing schedules and projects and many other duties included in assisting management personnel. Computer programs included: Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point. I was also Driver Manager for two months which dealt with managing drivers and dispatching loads to them. I was the immediate supervisor to the drivers.

• I was the only secretary in the office for one attorney. My duties included answering the phone, greet clients, answer client questions, prepared legal documents, transcription, open and closing estates, preparing Quarterly Tax Reports, accounts receivable, accounts payable, ordering office supplies, monthly billing to clients, explaining legal documents to clients, filing and keeping file room in order, obtaining signatures from clients and many other various office tasks. Many of these activities were done on my own with slight instruction from my boss on cases that were unusual. Computer programs included: WordPerfect 5.1, WordPerfect for Windows, Corel WordPerfect 8, Windows 95, Quicken, Profit Source, Tax Junior, Probate Plus, WordPerfect Office, Networking System, Networking Programs of various kinds, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Best Bankruptcy Case Program, Microsoft Calendar and Child Support Program.
Objective To obtain a challenging and rewarding position utilizing my skills and knowledge that will benefit everyone involved within any administrative organization. A position that creates room for growth and gives me the ability to help others succeed is the goal that I have set for myself. I feel that my education, employment experience, ability to encourage change for improvement, my outgoing personality and dedication to my work would make me an asset to any organization.
