I have more 6 years experience working as Mould Designer in design and development of new plastic moulds from the initial concept to the production line. I have a Bachelor’s degree as Mechanical Engineer and my native language is Spanish.
I have an excellent knowledge of different types of injection moulds, design parameters, solving mould and plastic problems, improving injection processes, engineering plastics materials, GD&T (ANSI14.5), gages, fixtures, jibs, production and metal machining processes. I am very capable in CIMATRON 3D (Solids, Modeling and CN programming) and I have basic knowledge of Solid Works.
In my last job in Progressive Tools Ltd, Concord, Ontario, a company manufacturer of plastic injection moulds for automotive industries, I was responsible for the design, modeling and detailing of approximately 180 injection moulds, using 2/3D CAD systems. I was responsible also for the engineering CAD drawings and designs, material technical specifications, dimensional accuracy, correct drafting procedures, bills of materials BOM, cost of raw materials and implementation of appropriates manufacturing process.
