o Testing of official software version release for Sky and Direct TV Set Top Boxes. Give support to NDS, company in charge of the integration of the Middleware and software applications.

o Software and driver developing using C language for Sky and Direct TV Set Top Boxes. Give support to NDS, company in charge of the integration of the Middleware and software applications.

Electronic Design Engineer. Company: Schneider Electric
o Redesign of a test device named LIM Tester that is part of Square D Medical Products. Responsible of the development of schematic according to the Schneider Electric Standards using Cadence® Concept HDL ECAD.
o Redesign of a special type of Circuit Breakers focused on Equipment Protection Device (EPD). Responsible of test for the prototypes and mockups, also responsible of some of the EMC Test such as Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and High Voltage Impulse (HVI).
o Redesign of a product named LIM (Line Isolation Monitor) that is part of the Square D Medical Products. Develop of electronic Schematics and implementation of PCBA for the solution. In charge of a Switching Mode Power Supply (SMPS) design that complied with a Class 2 standard for EMC considerations (Schematic and PCB Design). Implementation of RS485 Communications using an RS-485 Transceiver (Transceiver – Receiver) @ 19 200 bps Data Rate. This communication device used the ModBus Protocol. Design according to the UL (1022 & 1998), CSA and IEC.
o In charge of an exhaustive Analysis on Stablok Circuit Breakers Family Returned Products (AFI & GFI). In charge to found the Root Cause of most of the issues and deliver a report to the departments involved with some suggestion for Corrective Actions.
o Work on the redesign of the 2 Pole GFI (Ground Fault Interrupter) Circuit Breakers. Responsible of test for the prototypes and mockups.
o Experience with RoHS compliance electronic component selection.

MAJOR SCHOOL PROYECTS

• Developed during my Embedded Systems class the Ping Pong Game in a FPGA Card (Xilinx’s Spartan II). I also develop during my Control Laboratory Class an Elevator using as the Control System a Telemechanique PLC.

• Developed with my partners some computers interfaces such as Advanced PC Card Bus and PCI Bus. We also developed the Windows Drivers for those interfaces.

• Developed with my partners the program subroutines for a Robot in our Robotics I class. This project was a Robotic arm that helped people with different diseases.
