Managing, tuning, patching the operational databases (Billing (HPUX 11iv1),
VAS, DWH). Implemented multimaster replication on VAS DB
(Oracle11g/Solaris). Designed, and managing Tape Library (MLS6000),
database backups (RMAN,EXP) of all databases. Designing and implementing BI
models in OBIEE 11g. Databases in use are Oracle 9i/10g/11g. Operating
systems are HPUX/Solaris/Windows. Designed, installed a multimaster
replication solution for billing databases, RAC 11gR2 solution for

has been deployed, having Oracle 9i as DBMS and .Net Framework as an

involved DB modeling that encapsulates planning, designing the conceptual
and logical data models (using ER-Win/ER-Studio), sizing the database, DB
related script management, DB security management, physical data modeling,
tuning the performance of the overall system by different means, defining
backup and disastrous recovery strategies.

Worked on a web-based Recruitment Portal Nuclearminds having 3 separate
28GB (each) databases on Oracle 9i DBMS in an N-Tier architecture using
Windows 2000 Advanced Servers, Linux/Unix as an OS. My core tasks included
sizing of the database starting from row-sizing to table-sizing to a full
database-sizing. I was responsible for controlling and maintaining the
development as well as production databases apiece with core tasks
including mapping of developer changes to the development database,
application tuning of queries of views, implementation of star-schema
architecture using materialized views etc. and their management, tuning the
overall performance of all the databases, taking backups (Logical, Cold,
Hot) periodically and self and doing recoveries whenever required. I have
got my special expertise in tuning the performance of database system. This
was particularly the Hybrid System Architecture that was the combination of
OLTP and DSS. I had to take special care regarding many factors like
Rollback Segments, Indexing, Extent Management, Sorting needs and different
Analysis and Structural contrasting issues. I was also involved in
designing the Local Logical Data Models of the system using Oracle Designer
6i.
