Objective
My desire is to obtain a responsible and challenging position in the IT Technical Field, where my education and work experience will have valuable application. 3/2007- 8/2008 In and Out Professional Management Services Technical Representative (Contract Position)
· Utilized Help Desk functions to provide technical assistance to computer users via telephone and e-mail.
· Maintained trouble-ticket system to record and track user calls and e-mails.
· Builds and configures servers including domain controllers, file/print, database, e-mail and internet.
· Monitors performance of network and servers to identify potential problems and bottlenecks.

· Lead Technician in support of over 300 personnel for Georgia DNR Watershed Protection unit over a network consisting of Novell Client over Microsoft Windows 9X, 2000, and XP operating systems.
· Provides on-site maintenance and trouble-shooting for personal computer hardware and peripherals, software and network connections and other equipment.
· Diagnoses the cause of personal computer operation problems and takes or recommends appropriate action to take to solve those problems.
· Performs software installation and setup procedures.
· Assists assigned users in use of computer software, including standard office software, network and systems client software, and specialized software that may be used by a department.
· Assists the Information Technology staff with departmental need assessments and may coordinate assessment projects with Departmental and Information Technology staff.

· Systems/Database Administrator serving as lead contact for US State Department telecommunications and LAN/WAN messaging systems. Networks consist of Microsoft Windows NT, 9x, and 2000, 2003 and XP operating systems, with oracle and cold fusion servers.
· Troubleshoots circuit interruptions, failures, and disturbances; conducts specialization equipment and system performance test and records events into daily workshop narrative, along with Universal Trouble Tickets and department work request.
· Sends high priority message traffic directly to Secretary of State’s aircraft via TACSAT satellite system and monitors classified message traffic and prevents it from entering unclassified network through guard processor.
· Daily crypto inventory along with loading and maintaining cryptographic equipment to include but not limited to KG-84, KG-94, KY-57, KIV-7, CM-6000, KG-175, etc.
8/2004 – 1/2005 PRO-telligent/ US Dept. of State Red Switch/TACSAT Technician (Contract Position)
Operated a Trouble Assistance Desk (TAD) to place and receive calls from STU-III and STE users and provide operational and technical assistance.
· Trained COMSEC Custodians on the operational and security features of the STU-III and STE secure telephone system and provide direction and assistance to authorized users.
· Operated the ESI Red Switch console to assist users in placing and receiving calls, and resolving technical or operational problems ranging from operational procedures to fault isolation.
· Maintain the ESI Red Switch databases by keeping abreast of user requirements, changes in senior personnel, office changes and instrument moves.
· Provide communications support to the Secretary of State while she is traveling using TACSAT and INMARSAT equipment for voice, data and facsimile transmission.
· Calibrate, adjust, and configure radio equipment, antennas, and cryptographic equipment.
· Monitor and track circuit outages and dispatch appropriate maintenance personnel.
8/2000 – 8/2004 United States NAVY Information Systems Technician (Radioman) Second Class
· Network Administrator/ Communications Watch Supervisor: Responsible for the day-to-day internal and external command communications, network security and administration to providing the highest level of customer services.
· Operate and coordinate telecommunications systems including automated networks, data links and circuits from Naval Computer Telecommunications Station Bahrain during Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
· Provided technical support to deployed units ensuring as little downtime as possible on communications equipment and circuits.
· Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on state-of-the-art equipment.
