Application Engineer 12/89-6/93
Designing systems, integrating hardware and software to control various processes. Responsibilities: Designing of automation systems using Siemens PLC and various graphic interfaces. Duties included the design of various automated systems using Ladder logic and implementing a software standard (Error Diagnostics with Dynamic Indication (EDDI) and U. S. Data FactroyLink software as the graphics interface). This standard allows a reduction in manpower training, due to similarities in machine software, also a reduction in down time, due to a superior trouble shooting diagnostic. Implementing a Man-Machine Interface (MMI) driver using WonderWare software that collects data from electrical and utility field devices giving the end user a savings of 18% in utility costs.
