MS (Master of Science) in Mechanical Engineering, November 2010
Master’s thesis: Powertrains modeling and simulation of the Ohio University Auto Lab fuel cell hybrid vehicle (ADVISOR/MATLAB/Simulink)
- Modeled two hybrid powertrains for fuel cell vehicle applications in ADVISOR: a fuel cell-battery vehicle and a fuel cell-battery-ultracapacitor vehicle
- Built up the power bus model for the fuel cell-battery-ultracapacitor vehicle in Simulink, and provided a methodology for simulating powertrains with 3 energy devices in ADVISOR
- Built up the Ballard PEM fuel cell system model in MATLAB
- Performed 462 vehicle simulations and provided a complete system recommendation for the fuel cell vehicle
CLASS PROJECTS
“Controller design of a vehicle suspension system”: Independently designed a feedback controller for a bus suspension system using MATLAB
“Stirling engine analysis”: Implemented a Stirling cooler simulation and thermal analysis using MATLAB
