Position: Site-in-Charge & Naval Architect Engineer for 91m DP2 Diving Support Vessel in ABG Shipyard, Gujarat, India.

Job Description:

Review Technical Specifications and basic key plans.

Drawing approval for compliance with Technical Specification and statutory Requirements

Vendor Evaluation & Approval of Equipments

Purchase specification approval.

Incoming material inspection and verification.

Site Supervision In charge

Coordinate with other team members (Mech. Engineer, Electrical Engineer. & Diving Officers)

Review of Coating system

Inspect and supervise all works of hull construction, outfitting, etc right from beginning of fabrication until completion of the vessel.

Progress review & reporting including Supervision reports, Shipbuilding Schedule, Defects/ Non-conformance details.

Responsible for the quality and execution of the work done by the shipyard taking into consideration the specifications, the final drawings, the meeting memos, and communications with the shipyard.

Representing tests, Inclining Experiments, Basin trials, & Sea Trials.

Arranging complete documents/drawings from yard(as fitted drawings, Manuals etc)

Coordinate and supervise progress with Owner’s Builder’s and design activity.

Liaison with Owners Classification Society, Design Team, & Builder’s production team on various aspects of the project

Coordination with builder’s production managers for timely completion of schedules.

Documentation and drawings/ production schedule control.

Taking over jobs from colleagues in case of emergency.

Co-coordinating the vacation of the site team members, taking into consideration the yard schedule, the workload of the site team and the leave arrangements.

To safeguard and/or introduce proper norms / quality requirements according to the specifications, design correspondence and good professional skill.

To find incorrect executions and deviations from design as described in the specifications, and the design correspondence.

Execute the job while taking into consideration the safety rules of the shipyard.
