RESEARCH PROJECTS
• I have worked on simulation projects that include transient stability analysis, short circuit analysis, and load flow studies using ETAP.
• Wide area frequency monitoring project: Developed a PC based Frequency disturbance Recorder for the FNET project.
• Did Loss Optimization problem for transmission line based on Line flow based equations using Genetic Algorithm.
• Testing of Schneider SEPAM series and SEL relays with Omicron testing equipment.
• Simulating converter models using simulink and real time digital simulator (RTDS).
• . Involved in renewable energy projects, such as small scale wind and PV, in various county schools across Tennessee which will be used as back up supply. Also worked on a 12KW solar project, being initiated at Tech village (Cookeville). These works have been initiated by Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) utility company.
• Design project in power electronics on Four level Boost DC-DC Flying Capacitor converter and on single phase ac-dc Buck rectifier feeding permanent magnet DC motor.
• Design of a PI controller for a 5 KVA generator system.
