Responsible for leading and managing a team responsible for all aspects of materials management in an API licensed oilfield manufacturing and repair environment consisting of four plants and a distribution center. Responsibilities included coordinating the supply of materials from the procurement to the deployment or use. That included developing long and short range purchasing forecasts, fostering internal and external customer and supplier relationships, assisting internal customers in identifying and describing requirements and making recommendations concerning sourcing strategy and vendor selection, receiving and organizing the logical, secure and efficient storage of materials, the transfer of inventory between plant and vendor locations and the shipping of finished products. Minimized/optimized the amount of inventory required to be kept on hand by analyzing material needs at the individual plants compared to the production backlog and to the inventory levels being stored at all locations. Scheduled, managed and participated in periodic cycle counts including the physical count as well as the electronic reconciliation in MAS200. Coached a staff of up to fifteen employees, encouraging a culture of ownership and accountability.

Inventory Control Manager

Responsible for all aspects of materials management in an oilfield manufacturing environment including purchasing, shipping, receiving, warehousing and reverse logistics.
