DISSERTATION
Optimizing the Sum Throughput under different path loss conditions in multiple user scenarios
Detailed analysis of path loss in multi user communication link was made using Monte Carlo, Corner, fmincon and Karush-Kuhn Tucker method. Ways to maximize the Channel capacity of the communication link was evaluated. The experiment was carried at different noise levels and path loss scenarios. The observations were studied extensively and conclusions were derived. The project has reinforced my MATLAB skills and my programming ability in C language. It has also enabled me to gain excellent understanding of Communication technologies.
Simulation of an offset-fed microstrip antenna with slots
The performance of a microstrip antenna was analysed. The prime goal of the project was to reduce the size of the antenna and increase the Bandwidth. The objective was achieved using U type slotted microstrip antenna. Tests were carried out under different environmental conditions. The project has given me hands on experience in building an antenna from scratch and has helped me develop strong understanding of the electronics behind antenna building and IE3D and ANSOFT simulation software which were extensively used during the study.
