• Design and test engineer for rigorous product qualification for 3 media development programs.
• Cross-functional team lead for new development programs supporting HP strategy and portfolio growth. Helped grow the business by enabling more printer sales with robust inkjet media portfolio for customers, maintaining balance of product performance and competitive cost structure.
• Lead and established lab correlations between external suppliers and HP media labs to insure continued long-term confidence in testing capabilities and quality control of manufactured material.

Product Development Engineer 2003 – 2007
• Program Manager and test engineer for 6 new product introductions; generating over $12M in annual revenue.
• Tested products from pilot-scale through scale-up productions and commercialization, working with manufacturing team to qualify and transfer product from R&D to Manufacturing.
• Incorporated industry standard test practices (e.g. ISO) into more than 60 internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOP); lead migration of these documents into a new controlled database enabling easier correlation with partners and suppliers and ISO 9000 compliance.
• Facilitated in-house testing and managed third party testing services during product development; data used to differentiate HP products in the market and to equip sales team with product solutions and sell-against information for current and new products.
• Coordinated installation and qualification of new test equipment, including industry-leading HP “Image Permanence Lab” in San Diego saving HP millions of dollars on outsourcing testing and reducing turnaround time for screening new substrates and chemistries. Procured accelerated climate exposure chambers; consulted and assisted in comparable test lab start-up at Barcelona site.
• Contributor and participant in ISO committee task force working to create updated industry SOP for accelerated print-life evaluations.

• Designed and managed research study on light level and environmental conditions in commercial window display environments. Presented recommendation to ISO technical committee designing test methodology for predicting print-life estimates.
