Current Day to Day
My day to day work activity consists of planning design for new projects, maintaining and
extending our business apps. Our main apps are our web business control app, emailer system,
conversion tracking system, web reports, and our ad serving application. We also have other
apps that the development group has influence on, like our staging/production environment,
fraud analysis, private label applications, and web api loader apps that communicate with our
partner companies. All of our apps are coordinated with clustered MS SQL Server boxes.
Our web interface business application has an authenticated login interface for internal,
publisher, and advertiser users. Also it has built in web portal support so our business
application can be used by private labels. It provides account management, account bid
management, report generation/viewing, and content management. It's supported via a SQL
Server backend. The database is structured with custom tables, triggers, stored procedures, and
scheduled jobs. My work to this app includes bug fixes and extensions to the server code and
associated the db queries, tables, triggers, and stored procs.
Our emailer runs as a windows service and is controlled by scheduled stored procedures and
table queues. The account targets, email types, and email data are all generated by scheduled
sql procedures. The email data is formatted with xslt and the data is stored in xml. My work with
this app is to maintain bugs and extend functionality with the server code and associated
database queries, tables, triggers, and stored procs.
Our ad serving application is an ISAPI extension code base written in C++. It takes ad requests
from sites and returns context based advertisements. The application queries data from a
repository of inventory that's managed by our web business interface application. It uses
complex caching, ranking logic, and optimization techniques to server ads in a distributed,
concurrent, real-time manner. My work with this app is to maintain bugs and extend functionality
with the server code and associated database queries, tables, triggers, and stored procs.
My day to day work environment contains a host of other web applications that are similar to the
above. My work with them is consistent with the above. I'm very experienced in conducting full
development cycles for database driven web arena projects in a high volume, distributed, web
production environment.

My name is Frank Myers; I'm a 4th year web programmer in New York City. I'm currently working
at a leading SEM company My skill sets are listed in my accompanied resumes. In summary I'm
a very experienced web programmer that has benefited from working under the tutelage of
extremely talented and experienced senior leads. I excel at learning new large code-bases
quickly to be able to contribute by skills to the project. I can also work on an interface style basis
to contribute innovative, extendable, maintainable, and efficient code modules. I have
experience with various web technologies, but prefer to work with ASP.NET and PHP.
My coding philosophy rooted in the belief that each project/code-base/architecture/web-site is a
system. A system is a collection of inter-related elements that collaborate to transform material
from a set of inputs to desired outputs. If one understands the collective direction and the way
the elements relate to other, you can modify, extend, maintain, or be creative about new
solutions for any system.
