During previous employment, I provided case management services for foster parents, adoptive parents, and children in the custody of the state. I obtained Adoption Assessor Certification in Ohio in 2003.I polished my public speaking skills to inform the public of local area resources and programs. I established the Aging and Disability Coalition, partnering with many local agencies and groups. In addition to my role as the Aging and Disability Resource Program Coordinator, I managed to take on additional roles. As Quality of Life Coordinator, my creative abilities were unleashed in developing programming to enhance the lives of the elderly. I utilized my counseling skills to assist families and the elderly in dealing with nursing home placement to address grief, depression, guilt, and loss of independence. I also organized fund raising activities in several prior positions, including Relay for Life and the Alzheimer’s Association. I am practiced at developing relationships with local hospitals, doctor’s, and Home Health Agencies to secure referrals from established sources, as well as new sources.
