1nstalls and configures new servers and storage arrays. These new servers and storage allow the 33rd NWS to migrate to a single sign on for both Windows and UNIX systems. The new servers also alleviate the lack of storage capacity for mission essential information on both the Windows and UNIX sides of the network. Configures and installs new servers for deployment to new alternate operating location (AOL). These servers will allow for a seamless transition to the new AOL. In addition to this, he continues to provide day-to-day support and maintenance on any issues that arise for the current systems. This includes such tasks as account, DNS, FTP, ZFS, LDAP, sendmail, and NAS software and hardware support. Works with Government to determine requirements for any buildouts of AFCERT operations to ensure compliance and functionality with mission requirements. Solaris network administration is fundamentally rooted in an in-depth understanding of Network Information Service (NIS) and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) administration, the planning and design of users and groups, NFS and ZFS administration, and design strategies, dfstab and vfstab entries, host table entries, TCP/IP configuration parameters, in addition to Virtualization through zoning. Have extensive experience in troubleshooting client and server machines using a variety of diagnostic tools to determine differences between network, hardware and configuration problems. In identifying the difference between these problems allows for little to no down time for the 453rd EWS/EWA/EWD analysis. Provided daily server check of security log, audit logs and basic health of all servers as a preventive measure to unexpected and minimized down time.
