Synopsis

I am a Masters in Technology in Electronics Design and Technology majoring in software engineering and overall experience of 17 years. My core skills include managing QA and development teams varying in sizes from 5 to 100 for products from NetApp, Mendocino, Crystal Decisions (now Business Objects), Openwave and Agilent Technologies. My roles include leading QA teams, development teams, Delivery management, people management, knowledge and skill management, client management and account management. Storage, Telecom, CRM and Chemical Analysis are my domains of work experience. I have been involved in creating and presenting proposals with different business models including the new upcoming Output and Outcome based models to clients.

Currently I am heading the QA Practice and own setting up processes for Software Quality across the organization, enhancing QA skills, QA resources management. My additional responsibilities include Delivery of QA only projects.

My expertise include Proposal creation, Team governance, delivery management, Resource management, Test Metrics, Test Estimation, Test Planning, Test Strategies, Test Design and Test automation. I have strong communication skills and people orientation. I have experience in revenue planning, budgeting, purchasing, appraisals, working closely with support functions like Quality, HR, Finance and recruitment.

Being part of companies that grew from 2 digits to 4 digits in employee strength gave me exposure to incubating small teams and growing them in to larger teams. This gave me an opportunity to put myself on fast track growth and achieving higher goals. I applied the several trainings that I attended in these growing companies. I have experience in managing development teams and 4 years of freelance software development for smaller Indian companies. My teaching experience in engineering colleges and guiding projects helped me build training skills.

I have completed Six Sigma green belt certification and Business English Communication Certification from British English Council.

I adjudged regional round of Whitepapers conducted by QAI Global Institute in Jan 2012. Published an article on “Remotely accessing hardware and improving efficiency of distributed teams” in CSI, Pune chapter in 2007.

I would define myself as a very energetic person, quick learner with high values who likes to work with people.
