Sr. Network Engineer

• Significantly increased high availability of Zimmer systems to 100+ distributor offices by designing a Dynamic Multipoint VPN network infrastructure using dual redundant internet connections with automatic failover and dual NAT capabilities.

• Procured Cisco equipment, coordinated installation times and travelled extensively during a 2 year period throughout the U.S. to install DMVPN technology.

• Delivered significant cost savings and higher level of efficiency, reliability and collaboration between distributor offices by working with high level support from ATT and other carriers to design MPLS solutions for 6 of Zimmer’s largest distributorships.

• Appreciably improved quality of VOIP calls and application response times through the proper configuration of QOS.

• As part of security team completed migration from Cisco PIX 515 firewall to Cisco ASA, moved VPN groups, Access Control Lists, Static Nat statements, etc.

• Dramatically increased global WAN security by configuring router based IPS on remote office routers.

• Worked as part of disaster recovery team to ensure successful failover of critical systems to Disaster Recovery center.

• Work with Change Control board to implement network upgrades during maintenance windows.
