PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

PROJECT: An Improved Visual Cryptography Scheme for secret hiding

Tools Used: MATLAB 7.1, GUI with axes and menu (MATLAB)

Description: This project presented a new technique to hide a color secret image into multiple colored images. This is developed to increase security, when sending confidential images online. The main idea of this paper is to hide a secret image which can be text, handwriting or a picture in different images, which is hidden in 2 cover images. These Cover images will be encoded and sent to the receiver and the decryption of the image takes place to find the hidden image. There are programs running at both sender and receiver side for encryption and decryption respectively. And the proposed system also presented a technique to hide a secret in n shares to increase the security on web.

MASTERS PROJECT:

PROJECT: Design of social media support system for patient online

Tools Used: Photoshop, Html, CSS

Description: Designed a user interface for nurses, profile page for patients, discussion forums, message templates for the therapists, to give support and advices in the form of textual messages. The user-interface allows reuse of answers to patient’s questions. The interface have maintained a personal style in the communication, the priorities are given using colors to each patient’s message. The messages are prioritized using the tag words which is pre defined in the system. Thus the system gives a easy access to personal profiles of patient to give them medical advice.

PROJECT: Usability evaluation For a Web development company

Tools Used: Morae software (version 3.0)

Description: Tested the effectiveness of the overall website Virtual Atlantic in satisfying the user’s expectation and whether the website acts as a good sales-tool for the company with real users. A report of the study is presented to the customer to understand what their users really want and helped them to slightly re- designing their site.

PROJECT: Presented a work plan for the project development at Uppsala University

Description: This report is to supply the Uppsala University course management system project with an activity road map and recommendations, focusing on user-centered design, requirement gathering with the use of contextual design (CD).

PROJECT: Created a ToDo Application

Tools Used: Java, Swings

Description: A ToDo application is created to maintain the daily activities of the user using java and swings as a programming language. This application is designed to make the user to view their appointments, works and so on. And a usability evaluation is done to check the usefulness of the application.

PROJECT: Designed an interface for the pilot in the fighter jet.

Tools Used: CAD, Photoshop

The interface contains the situation awareness screen and the objects which the pilot has to see when they are in air. Voice control and touch screen are also implemented in the design for easy access. To make the objects more realistic 3D view is also used. The details about the hostile fighter jets, friendly flights and other obstacles are also displayed in the situation awareness screen.

PAPER ON: Survey on the Motivational features behind users to use Facebook in the banned countries.

Tools Used: Google Docs- Spreadsheet for survey

Description: As Facebook has got more than 800 million active users, some countries has blocked Facebook. The news reveals that many people find it difficult to get rid of Facebook. Many proxy servers are used to access Facebook in these countries. So a survey is taken in Iran where the Facebook is banded by the government, to find the features of Facebook that really motivated them to use even after banding. The report provides data to understand the underlying reason for using Facebook and the importance of social networking.

PAPER ON: Usability evaluation of Google Health

Description: The usability of the Google health is evaluated and recommendations are stated to improve the usability of the interface. Heuristic method is used to find the usability issues.
