Over 25 years experience as a Cable System installer-Maintainer. Led numerous of cable and wire teams in the installation, maintenance and recovery of all type cable systems, such as fiber optic, 26 and 25 Cat5, Cat5e, Cat3, Cat6 and coax cables. Supervised and trained Installers on setting up ATM switches and private branch exchange (PBX) switchboards, which relayed incoming, outgoing and interoffice calls within a single location or organization. Shipping and receiving all types of communications equipment, from FT. Hood, TX to Military installations all over the world. Work as a team of about 8 Techs we count, test; clean all incoming and outgoing peace of communication equipment. Loading and unloading reels of fiber cables, twisted pair cable, FBCBT equipment, Singuars Radios, Antilog and digital switches, such as Routers, Modems. Works with the Military Transportation system to ship and have accountability of each item we send or receive, by the cost of the item, stock number and part numbers. We are responsible for shipping and receiving over a million dollars a week.
ITT Out Side Plant Tech (Bargam, Air force Base, Afghanistan) 2006 – Oct 2008
Installs, troubleshoots and repairs a broad range of telecommunications cabling media to include coaxial, fiber optic, Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP), main feeder cable (200,400,600 pair etc). Installs cable racks,110 and 66 block installations, Jack installation and crimping, conduit, Panduit, and other support structures for the protection and aesthetics of cables. To include tests cable, pulling, labeling cable for signal quality, continuity, and availability. Terminates and splices both copper and fiber optic cable. Experience operating, bucket trucks all so establish and maintain cable records. Use database software such as Remedy to track and control job orders, interpret drawings to troubleshoot, install and make recommendations for new facilities and upgrades. Tested and certify, fiber optic, main feeder cable with ohm meters, toners and Optical Time Domain Reflectometers (OTDR).

General maintains which includes, reading all types of aerial maps, driving four-wheels vehicles up and down a 5 miles tank range. Installs, removes, maintains, modifies, troubleshoots, and repairs voice and/or non-voice communications systems including intercom in tanks. Installed numerous Cable, such as CAT5,COAX and CAT3 from pole to customers home. Installed and terminated tips such as RJ45, RJ11 and RJ6 for CAT5, COAX cables from DMAR to equipment. set up and network IP address for VOIP systems. Installed removed, maintained communications systems. Used engineered drawings, statements of work, and technical manuals to determine requirements for underground, buried, and aerial cable systems. Located and repaired or replaced splice cases: determined course of signal deterioration in data circuits over fiber optic cable by using OTDR’S and CL1000 test equipment. Had to have a valid driver’s license and the ability to lift 75 lbs. Wore the appropriate protective equipment in compliance with OSHA to perform the duties OF A Install Tech.

November 2000 – 2004
Supervised and trained 200 employees, in the first ever Digitized Communication Company by maintaining training schedules for weekly operation and preventive maintenance. Accounted for 1,500 telephones, subscribers and test equipment worth in excess of $2.2 Million. Designed and built the only main Cable/Fiber frame system that supported Communication for Iraqi Freedom in the Shunnie triangle in the 4th Infantry Division during the War in Iraq 2003-2004. Supervised both Telephone Switchboard and Help Desk which included
managing flawlessly both areas with no interruptions in customer
services for a continuous period of 12 months. Provided training to 37
Korean Emergency Essential Civilians (EEC), on voice transmission, PBX,
and switching system of 63,000 telephone subscribers. Recognized by the
Inspector General for developing the best training-tracking program for
cable installation, at the first Communication conference, held in Youngsan, South Korea.

October 1997 - September 1999
Supervised 10 employees in telephone installation and fiber optic
cables. Installed and maintained computer hubs, Local Area Network and
Wide Area Network cables. Provided customer service and technical
support. Rebuilt, and upgraded company networks by installing and
hardwiring software for Windows 3.1, 95, 98 and Windows NT.

Trained a crew of 9 technicians on cable, wire and remote multiplexor
combiner. Maintained 100% accountability of controlled cryptograph

Cable System Team Chief (Outside Plant) U.S. Army, Seoul, Republic of
Korea March 1993 - April 1994
Supervised and trained 42 technicians at an outside plant in South,
Korea in telephone communication. Secured all communication lines and
networks supporting over 30 senior officials, to include the President
of the United States, during their visit to Korea. Provided prompt and
courteous response to over 7,000 work order requests and trouble
tickets ensuring that the information flowed to all major offices.
Received an award from The White House Communication Staff for
outstanding job performance while in Korea.
