Engineering Intern

● Gained substantial CAD experience by reverse engineering various medical devices to exact specifications. First two weeks at the company 20 hours per week were spent improving CAD skills.

● Successfully created a tool changer used for in-house CNC milling machines; the company had ongoing problems with the provided tool changers for the CNC machines. As a result of recreating the stock tool changer in-house the company was able to solve the ongoing problem and as a result they saved money on replacement parts.

● Hands-on Experience with deburring, wire EDM. In this portion of the internship the quality of the manufactured devices was emphasized, hands on adjustments and inspection allowed for superior parts.
