Graduate Assiatant
Jan 03, 1998 - May 15, 2001
Thesis: Effects of surface water accumulations from the 1991 flood on the groundwater hydraulics of the Sparta aquifer in north-central Louisiana. A 1465 square mile surface water model was created based on a region of influence regression model, the NRCS/SCS method, the USGS method and FEMA literature. The surface water model results were used as recharge for the groundwater model, which was constructed through the use of the C of E Groundwater Management System and MODFLOW software. Real-time surface water and groundwater observations were used to calibrate the predicted responses of the model. Taught engineering geology, physical and historical geology laboratories and lectures.
