Process-Manufacturing Engineer Sr.: Supervise, lead and support manufacturing on a daily basis, start-ups and shut-downs for three polymerization lines. Reduce $1 M/yr energy cost and improve cooling tower performance, reducing algae formation implementing manifold vacuum system project. Review and update SOP for transition from analog to electronic control with new DCS equipment, modifying and tuning loops and controls with new system. Optimize unit performance, designing and conducting trials for process improvement and new products evaluation. Develop an extensive SPC study to implement process, product and raw materials specifications and their correlation to minimize product variations and non-conformance product. Performed a SPC to evaluate new catalyst supplier and improve polyester resin quality from 83% to 96%. Develop procedures to troubleshoot sources of deviation with corrective action plans.
