VP Marketing & Sales: With polymers, fibers and PET background, hired as a Technical Sales Mgr. from a Du Pont JV to improve and modify catalyst process to increase sales, and supply suitable catalyst required by customers. Performed a SPC to evaluate and approve toll manufacturer for the development of new catalyst line. Negotiate a competitive position for new business development. Responsible for purchasing, quality, sales and supervise daily coordination and operation for 3 extrusion lines and 35 people from production, lab., maintenance and staff. Organize, support, and supervise plant and business during relocation from Cheshire CT to NJ.

Nylon de Mexico (JV: Du Pont-Alfa Fibers) Monterrey, Mexico 1985 – 1997

Process-Manufacturing Engineer Sr.: Supervise, lead and support manufacturing on a daily basis, start-ups and shut-downs for three polymerization lines. Reduce $1 M/yr energy cost and improve cooling tower performance, reducing algae formation implementing manifold vacuum system project. Review and update SOP for transition from analog to electronic control with new DCS equipment, modifying and tuning loops and controls with new system. Optimize unit performance, designing and conducting trials for process improvement and new products evaluation. Develop an extensive SPC study to implement process, product and raw materials specifications and their correlation to minimize product variations and non-conformance product. Performed a SPC to evaluate new catalyst supplier and improve polyester resin quality from 83% to 96%. Develop procedures to troubleshoot sources of deviation with corrective action plans. Utilize DOE to optimize catalyst concentration for Homopolymers & Copolymers, increasing reaction yield and quality from 87% to 92%. Increase 10% capacity optimizing operating conditions and a branching agent improving Polycondenzation reaction.
