Eng. Technician 07-2009 to 09-2009

While with G.L.D. I worked on a site development plan for the expansion of Big Ben & Bertling road in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. I cut cross sections of the expansion and created profile views for utility location and created grading plan showing the new contouring and spot elevations for new curb and gutter build. I worked side by side with Mark Lester and Mel Cantrell to put together water plans, utility plans, site details (although most were city standards), demo plans, profiles, cross sections for every 50 foot of road, cut and fill calculations.

Black and Veatch Overland Park, KS

Lead Eng. Technician/ Project Lead (Telecom) 11-2008 to 2-2009

While with Black and Veatch I was Lead Cad Technician, supervising and checking the drawing performance and standards guidelines for a team of Cad Technicians in the telecom industry. We created cell tower construction drawing sets for AT&T Wireless on behalf of Black and Veatch. My team and I created new site build, equipment upgrade, grounding and zoning drawings for AT&T Wireless, in addition to detailed site sketches and building and equipment details for underground utilities using AutoCAD ’05. I performed electrical schematics for RF Congfiguration sheets for cell tower equipment, I also imitated new standards for the Cad telecom department per client requirement and communicated and coordinated with field crews concerning timely site visits and client requests. I prepared budgets for my team of cad techs per individual site and monitored each budget for adhesion and continuity. I was a contracted worker for B&V, and due to the down turn in the economy AT&T pursed lay-offs which in turn B&V recuperated, only by keeping direct hire employees and eliminating contract positions. I have a great set of references from B&V, which can be provided during an interview.

Maas and Son Inc. Overland Park, KS

C.A.D. Manager (Telecom) 6-2006 to 10-2008

While with Maas and Son I performed cell tower site design for new and existing towers. I set-up drawing templates for each client to their standards, and reviewed the work of all drafting personnel. I established new company standards for drafting within the company and aided the civil engineer in the design and construction estimates of each site, along with establishing boundary and easements, vacations, building lines, according to title company designation, and wrote (as surveyed) legal descriptions for all new and already improved cell tower lease areas. Autocad ’05/w Land desktop development was used in the design and drafting of each new tower site.

Black and Veatch Overland Park, KS

Engineering Tech IV 3-2005 to 4-2006

While with Black and Veatch I assisted the project manager in the initial design and drafting nuclear and coal fired power plant structural design of truss and pipe bridges holding h.v.a.c. equipment, and routing of pipes for wall penetrations and supports, with the use of 3-D “in house” software called ‘Plant Vision’, and AutoCAD 2005. In addition, I aided in the structural analysis of existing truss members and piping/h.a.v.c supports.

Sr. Cad Designer 7-2002 to 2-2005

Zambrana Engineering Inc. was a temporary six month contract position in which I assisted the project manager in the initial design and drafting of sewer main extensions and water main extensions in accordance with specific municipalities. In addition I performed site development plans along grading, utility, drainage area, and research and review of assigned projects. I was also responsible for the storage and maintenance of the AutoCAD database of drawings for each project and for standard up keep on newly assigned drawing and projects.

Emerson Motor Company St. Louis, MO

Cad Designer 9-2001 to 6-2002

Emerson Motor Company was another six month contract position. While with Emerson I successfully drafted mechanical schematics and shop drawing for manufacturing purposes. These drawing of various difficulties involved the isometric breakdown of each individual motor and a complete description of each part and its purpose.
