Dear Sir/Madam,

I would like to present this application for advertised position. I am preparing for this position due to my extensive professional experience in the IT industry. The accomplishments noted within the accompanying resume will supply an insight into value and enthusiasm that I would bring to the position.

I possess a vast commercial experience as a database administrator and team leader initiating from August 1997 to current. During this tenure I have contributed and gained experience globally and locally with various government and private sector organizations. I presently possess extensive knowledge of the IT industry, am always eager and a quick learner.

I have completed BE is Electrical and Electronics engineering and have vast commercial experience in Database tuning, migration, filtration, clustering of Itanium servers and HP Proliant Blades, Development, Administration and maintenance on Window 2008,2003,2000,Vista and XP systems.

I have worked in network-based environments for handling system operations and management of databases. Within my responsibilities as a database administrator I have contributed to maintenance plans, writing stored procedures for performance tuning SQLMail configuration, changing the dbowners and database backups for almost 200 servers. In addition I have contributes to daily database backups of a few TBs. I have successfully leading a team of 5 Application DBAs and 5 Web Programmers.
