Dissertation- Funding of pension schemes

As part of the Msc actuarial science course, I have prepared a thesis on Funding of pension schemes under an individual three months research programme. The study included the contributions and the valuation of the liabilities of several defined benefit schemes running across UK state and private sector along with the several actuarial investigations required for the pension model.

• HiWEL is a joint venture between NIIT Ltd. and the International Finance Corporation (a part of The World Bank Group) to provide elementary computer education to the disadvantaged children in rural and urban slums.

• Assisted in providing a ‘Statistical Framework’ for setting kiosks for spreading computer literacy and improving the quality of education at the grass root levels.

COMPUTER PROFICIENCY

I have used statistical software’s including SPSS, mat lab, C+, R. Have prepared a project on Statistical

Quality control, as a part of Msc statistics programme using SPSS and C+ to conduct several tests on quality

Control measures taken by several firms.

I also have the working knowledge of MS office. As a part of the Msc Actuarial science Curriculum, have worked

Extensively on Ms excel for the Actuarial problems related to the policy values, survival models, premiums

calculation, pension liabilities, calculations for the bonus malus system etc.
