Let me introduce myself,
My name is John Steverson and I have been living in Sarasota,Florida for over thirty years.
A lot of my Commercial experience I received in the Navy serving with Navy Construction Battalion Fourteen, stationed at NAS Jacksonville, Florida. All of our Officers are Civil Engineers and I was a Builder Chief Petty Officer. Some of my assignments were rebuilding the Military Base at the Isle of Crete, a Greek Island south of Greece. There we were involved in rebuilding the base from underground through vertical construction. My involvement was to build the Administration Building and one of the Bath houses/laundry facilities. This was a hands on and supervising experience.
Some of the other projects that I was working on was a large classroom addition to the Chapel at Naval Station Mayport in Jacksonville, also a 50’ x 100’ Administration Building using Red Iron Beams and Columns with metal siding and sheathing. Tear out and replacement of an Aircraft Hanger Bay concrete slab, measuring 18” in depth with steel rebars 12” O.C. at Naval Air Station Jacksonville. I was highly involved with all of the projects in Jacksonville such as pre construction estimates, budgets, project and manpower scheduling plus reporting. This is just a few of the projects that I have been involved with.
Most recently I was the Project Superintendent at Savannah Preserve in Bradenton,Fl., working on two story concrete block multi-plex buildings. I took over a project that they were behind on and was able to correct the situation and start receiving framing inspections. Once drywall started it took us four months to C.O.’s on all fourteen buildings with a total of ninety units.
As you may have noticed on my Resume’ there is a gap between June 1989 and February 1996.
During this time I was an independent contractor installing Cabinetry.
Sincerely,
John Steverson
